Staying active outside of the gym can be a great way to increase step count without having to go out on walks.
You can go on hikes with friends or social active gatherings or take up a sport (competitively or as a hobby) to do so.
As in the previous topic, walking is a get form of cardio and is the most underrated form of exercise of fat loss because of how great it is for creating a further caloric deficit for those in a fat loss journey.
Does my Step Count Have to be 10k Steps?
I feel like it’s one of those things that social media took and ran with it in terms of magic numbers to make you lose fat or be classified as ‘healthy’ & ‘fit’
Studies show that in order to prevent age related health diseases, a minimum of ~7k steps daily is best to maintain.
How Long Does it Take to Hit 1k Steps?
At an average walking pace, 1k steps takes about 10 minutes of walking. The faster you walk, the less time it’d take and vice versa.
